Sergeant Mokebe Innocent Mokhonoana, born 1 January 1983, age 41 at death. Married; devoted father to three children (youngest four at time of death). Served SAPS for 19 years from appointment 11 July 2005. Assigned to Provincial Emergency Services – Motorbike Unit, Limpopo; escort operations and frontline crime prevention. On 31 July 2024, after completing duties at a Youth Empowerment Indaba in Seshego, redeployed to patrol the R101 corridor; a vehicle unlawfully turned into his path near Meropa Casino, causing a collision with fatal head injuries; declared deceased at the scene. Culpable homicide case under investigation. Name engraved on Wall of Remembrance for the 2024/2025 Roll of Honour (SAPS Commemoration magazine; Annual Report PERSAL 7051689-8).
