Constable Sipho Saul Mohapi, born 10 March 1979, age 45 at death. Devoted husband and father of three (youngest eight at time of death). Served SAPS for 13 years from appointment 30 January 2012. Stationed at SAPS Namahadi, Free State. On 4 January 2025, with his team responded to a reported burglary in Mangaung Village, Namahadi; suspects fled and a pursuit led into a cul-de-sac; officers turning back when one suspect opened fire, fatally shooting Mohapi before fleeing. Name inscribed on Wall of Remembrance for the 2024/2025 Roll of Honour (SAPS Commemoration magazine; Annual Report PERSAL 7196966-7).
