Constable Gedione Motloung, born 7 May 1985, age 39 at death. Served in SAPS for four years from appointment 1 December 2020. Father of a four-year-old child. Stationed at SAPS Namahadi, Free State. On 4 January 2025, he and a colleague responded to a house robbery complaint in Mangaung Village; two suspects fled while a third remained inside and opened fire as Motloung entered. Shot three times in the upper body; died at the scene. Name inscribed on Wall of Remembrance for the 2024/2025 Roll of Honour (SAPS Commemoration magazine).
