Served SAPS for 18 years from appointment 8 January 2007. Stationed at SAPS Heilbron, Free State. In the early hours of 9 January 2025, while in pursuit of a suspect's vehicle on the R34 Edenville Road near Heilbron, the police vehicle he was travelling in was involved in a collision that claimed his life.
