16 Oct 2026: NEW RECORD. Alpine 44 Commemoration crew-roll photo (Facebook, Ad Astra Magazine article by Cpl Khensane Cheriz Nkuna, service held at Air Force Memorial Swartkop, 11 Oct 2026): "Thomson J., 24, F/O, RAF" -- hometown given as "Perth, South Africa", which does not correspond to any known South African place and is almost certainly a captioning error (possibly Perth, Scotland or Perth, Western Australia) -- not stored, flagged here only. SAWGP CHECKED, NOT FOUND (no record of this surname with Oct 1944 death). CauseDeath/Unit reused from this aircraft's other, already-documented crew (Metelerkamp 16442, Jones 11415, Whitelaw 28242).
