Mike Sandham 22 Aug 2026 omissions: Rifleman Marthinus Jacobus Lombard, Infantry School, South African Infantry Corps. Part of a Military karate team travelling to a tournament in Bloemfontein when the vehicle suffered a flat tyre; while changing it he was struck by a passing mini-bus taxi. Suffered severe head injuries, admitted to Universitas Hospital, Bloemfontein in critical condition, died of cardio-respiratory failure shortly after admission, age 19.
