Constable Ayanda Moyikwa, born 17 January 1992, age 33 at death. Devoted father to a young child (two years old at time of death). Served SAPS from appointment 12 February 2018. Assigned to Visible Policing and Operations Division. On 12 January 2025, en route to morning shift at Cape Town International, witnessed a robbery in progress; acted to protect a member of the public, placed himself on duty and confronted the armed suspect; sustained fatal gunshot wounds and died at the scene.
