Killed in action, near Mupa in Southern Angola when their Casspir drove into an ambush and was struck by a Czechoslovakian RPG-75 Anti-Tank Rocket. The rocket struck the Browning Machine-gun mounting and exploded, spraying the inside of the vehicle with lethal shrapnel, killing them instantly

Michael (a sapper) was killed in action supporting the parabats at an unknown location in Angola. The APC that he was travelling in was ambushed and Michael was killed by armour piercing rounds. Michael was afriend of mine from Florida Park High School. HIS DEATH WAS ALL FOR NOTHING........WHAT A WASTE OF LIFE.
