This was my brother Abraham Hattingh. He mtriculated at Glencoe Technical High School in 1977. The next year he was called up for service. He died on 7 February 1978 in the Army Base in Potchefstroom. They were busy cleaning the barracks when the lightning struck the electric polisher. He was busy polishing the floor at that moment. He died on the sceen. He died a month before his 18th birthday. He was laid to rest in Witbank with a full military burial. He is still very much missed by his father and two sisters.
