Lt N.Biden was a member of a flight detailed to attack an artillery position in the 'Punchbowl' area. His aircraft failed to pull out of it's dive during the napalm attack, and crashed into the ground and burst into flames.

- 1978 30136 — Rifleman Michiel Horn Du Plessis, 74508995BG, 2 South African Infantry Battalion (South African Infantry Corps), aged 19. Died in Freak Accident, at Windhoek, sustained burns while putting out veld fire.

- 1979 40563 — Aircraftsman Alexander Jonathan Charles Wesson, 6656, 8 Sqdn. (Rhodesian Air Force), aged 23. Killed in action, during Op Uric when an RPG7 hit the boss of the rotors of his Augusta Bell 205 "Cheetah" R6098 flown by Flt Lt Richard Paxton at Barragem, Mozambique, on Op Uric. The wreck was completely burnt out and his body was not recovered. It is assumed he was buried at the site.

- 1980 33052 — Lance Corporal Ernesto Sophia, 76927961SP, 32 (Buffalo) Battalion (South West African Territory Force), aged 18. Sophia was taken by a crocodile while swimming / paddling in the Kavango river during R&R. ( Killed by friendly fire (Operation Vastrap)).

- 1982 40849 — Trooper Roland Henry Roberts, 78363462, 61 Mechanised Battalion Group (South African Infantry Corps), aged 19. Drowned, in the Olifants Dam.

- 1982 33597 — Private Robert Peter Van Spronsen, 80554413BG, 5 Maintenance Unit (South African Ordnance Services Corps), aged 19. Died of injuries, at 1 Military Hospital, of burn wounds received on 30 August 1982 at Ondangwa.

- 1986 38532 — Private Ockert Jacobus Gouws, 83221408, H.q. (Group 6), aged 19. Assaulted and stabbed with a knife at Port Elizabeth.

- 1986 38716 — Rifleman Edward Phillip Mouton, 86078698CK, Maintenance Unit (South African Cape Corps), aged 19. Died in Freak Accident, electrocuted when he climbed onto the roof of a train, at Mbekweni.

- 1993 34039 — James Charles Barlow, 0405164-5, 17 Dist (Graaff Reinet) CE Div (South African Police), aged 43. Died on active service.

- 1995 38229 — Sergeant Stephanus Gerhardus Weideman, 0407431-9, Kimberley (South African Police), aged 23. Killed in action, during Rand Revolt.

- 1997 37244 — Constable Johannes Christiaan Qole, 915245-8, 25 Dist (Bloemfontein) OFS Div (South African Police), aged 31. Municipal Police.

- 1998 35176 — Constable Paul Khoadi, 926498-1, Natal Division (South African Police), aged 38. Died in the execution of his duty as a member of the South African Police.
