- 1981 32478 — Lance Corporal Eaun Andrew Chapman Pettit, 78397122BG, H Company (1 Parachute Battalion), aged 19. Died in Military Vehicle Accident. He and his section were evacuated after an operation when the Buffel in which they were travelling overturned at speed. He was killed in the crash.

- 1983 30244 — Gunner Lodewyk Jozef Engelbrecht, 80571326BG, 4 Field Regiment, 1st Medium Bty. (South African Artillery Corps), aged 19. Killed in action, land mine while on operational duty at Tsumeb.

- 1984 33312 — Gunner Alfred Lokington Tomes, 72472459BT, 17 Field Regiment (South African Artillery), aged 27. Died of wounds, received in contact with the enemy on 29 March 1984, succumbed in 1 Military Hospital on 2 April.
