A. might well have been one of my great great uncle Barnett's many (est 14-18) children, amny of whom were born abroad. Barnett and his wife Emma ran the Golden ball pub in Pinkneys Green Bucks UK till 1909. Barnett was himself a soldier, as were many other young men in the family.
