Edmund Hughes Flanigan was a Doctor of Medicine, he qualified MB (Batchelor of Medicine), BCh (Batchelor of surgery) and BAO (Batchelor of Obstetrics) at the Royal University of Ireland in 1908 he resided at 48 Great Victoria Street, Belfast. Medal Index Card states he served in France from 10 January 1916. His two brothers also died in service
