Taljaard , Daniel Jakob (D J)

12 Oct 2026: New record. Col (rt) Graham du Toit Last Post, 12 Oct 2026: "Major Daniel Jakob Taljaard from Air Force Headquarters was killed in a private motor cycle accident. He was 31." No service number given. Not in DB prior to this pass. NOTE: coincidentally shares surname, rank and exact death date (2001-10-12) with an existing record, Taljaard PersonNumber 33205 (Initials "L M", Combat Flight School, Age 22, "Died on active service") -- but initials, unit and age all disagree, so NOT treated as the same person; kept as a separate new record rather than guessed as a match. Also distinct from the unrelated Taljaard, Daniel Jakob (tallies), PersonNumber 33200, Captain, killed in action over Angola 1975.
