Mrs. N. J. Slabbert (wife), Boundary Lane, Potchefstroom. Off duty at the time of death.
6 Oct 2026: New record. Mike Sandham (SAWGP) omissions email, 5 Oct 2026: "05 Oct 1979: 05527221PE Adjutant Officer Class II Douglas Horatius Slabbert from NW Command Workshop, North West Command Died of heart problems, at 1 Military Hospital. He was off duty. He was 47." Not in DB prior to this pass.
6 Oct 2026: RANK CORRECTED. Stored "Adjutant Officer Class II" is the Afrikaans rank title (Adjudant-offisier Klas II); the Rank table maps it to English "Warrant Officer Class II" (RankID 54). Set to that, per the bilingual-rank convention. Sandham (SAWGP) omissions email, 5 Oct 2026, gives the Afrikaans form.
