NEW ROH record -- no match on the roll by service number, by surname with date, or on a widened surname-plus-year check. Mike's entry verbatim:
"04 Feb 1994: 93653608PK Rifleman Selby Sizo Gubhela from 5 South African Infantry Battalion, South African Infantry Corps Died in Shooting Incident, accidentally shot and killed by his friend. They were AWOL and at a shebeen in Dokudweni and while his friend was making his gun safe, a shot went off, killing Gubhela. He was 28."
21 Sep 2026: CauseDeath trimmed to the circumstance of death alone. On import it had been set to Mike Sandham's entire entry, repeating the date, service number, rank, name and unit that this record already holds in its own fields. His wording is quoted verbatim in the citation above, so nothing is lost. Defect found when Graham du Toit's Last Post of 21 Sep 2026 independently confirmed one of these records, Sikirila 49773.
