NEW ROH record -- no match on the roll by service number, by surname with date, or on a widened surname-plus-year check. Mike's entry verbatim:
"01 Feb 1981: 79645003KC Rifleman Willem Babu from Sector 40 H.Q. Died of wounds, knife wound, stabbed at Okaukukyo, while on duty. He was 26."
21 Sep 2026: CauseDeath trimmed to the circumstance of death alone. On import it had been set to Mike Sandham's entire entry, repeating the date, service number, rank, name and unit that this record already holds in its own fields. His wording is quoted verbatim in the citation above, so nothing is lost. Defect found when Graham du Toit's Last Post of 21 Sep 2026 independently confirmed one of these records, Sikirila 49773.
25 Sep 2026: linked to Sector 40 Headquarters. This record came from Mike Sandham's research log on 16 September with its Regiment in words -- "Sector 40 H.Q." -- and nothing linked; the entity existed under the abbreviated name "Sec 40 HQ", which has been regularised to "Sector 40 Headquarters". Sector 40's headquarters was at Windhoek.
- GEOGRAPHY NOTED, NOT ACTED ON: he was stabbed at Okaukuejo, which lies in Etosha, and Etosha was in SECTOR 30's area, not Sector 40's. That is not by itself a contradiction -- a man posted to a sector headquarters can die outside its ground -- so the link follows what his record says rather than where he died. Flagged in case a source settles it.
