"28 Jun 1979: 75531879BG Rifleman Kevin John Tree from 6 South African Infantry Battalion, South African Infantry Corps Died of injuries, received in Private Motorbike Accident, on 22 June between Grahamstown and East London. He was 20."
21 Sep 2026: CauseDeath trimmed to the circumstance of death alone. On import it had been set to Mike Sandham's entire entry, repeating the date, service number, rank, name and unit that this record already holds in its own fields. His wording is quoted verbatim in the citation above, so nothing is lost. Defect found when Graham du Toit's Last Post of 21 Sep 2026 independently confirmed one of these records, Sikirila 49773.
