"14 Jun 1953: 641236 Petrus Mqwati from the Bantu Labour Services Auxiliary Died of meningitis, at Voortrekkerhoogte Military Hospital. He was 38. (formerly service in WW2, N/69333 Native Military Corps, S.A. Forces, Transferred from the NMC to the BLS after the war)."
21 Sep 2026: CauseDeath trimmed to the circumstance of death alone. On import it had been set to Mike Sandham's entire entry, repeating the date, service number, rank, name and unit that this record already holds in its own fields. His wording is quoted verbatim in the citation above, so nothing is lost. Defect found when Graham du Toit's Last Post of 21 Sep 2026 independently confirmed one of these records, Sikirila 49773.
