Son of David & Mary Moir of 80 Strathmartine Road, Dundee, Scotland; husband of Emma (nee Crookes) Moir of Durban; 2 young children. Born Montrose, Scotland 1865; wood machinist; married Bradshaw Crescent, Pont Road, Durban 22 May 1888; lived 83 Frere Road, Durban. Died Convent Hospital, Estcourt.
