He was killed at Ondangwa in the guardhouse at the main gate 1987. I was up there at the time but my mate (2Lt) Marius Neser was the first officer on the scene as Brennan was one of his troops. Shot by his best friend who came in off guard duty, slammed his R5 down on the guardroom table and shot his friend since childhood through the head as he was talking to his sister in Johannesburg on the 5c Ticky box.

The next week Brennan was put on the Flossie back to Waterkloof. I was part of the officers party who handed the body over to his parents. The memory still hurts like heck today....

I am in touch with Marius Neser regularly as he lives just down the coast from me in Australia.
