Col (rt) Graham du Toit Last Post 23 Jan 2026: Marine Pravin Thangavalu, South African Marine Corps, killed instantly at Wenela Base on 23 January 1989 when a fellow Marine, who had removed the magazine without clearing the chamber, later played with the rifle and a shot hit Thangavalu in the head. Age 19. Graham gave no service number. New ROH record (not on SAWGP at research time).
Mike Sandham's research log ("List 1"), imported 16 Sep 2026, credited to The South Africa War Graves Project unless his entry says otherwise: gives Age 18 against this record's 19 (a difference of one year, so most likely a birthday-not-yet-reached transcription difference rather than a real disagreement). This record has no date of birth, so there is nothing to adjudicate with. Flagged, not changed.
