Andries Josephus Beytel was 23 years and 10 months old when he 'fell in action on the veld' at Leeuwspruit, dist Heidelberg, Tvl on 26 December 2006. He was survived by his wife, Elzie Johanna (nee Bekker), his parents Andries Josephus Beytel and Hester Elizabeth (nee Labuschagne).
