(Cordwalles Prep; Michaelhouse 1927-1931.) 2253 Captain Royal Durban Light Infantry. Born Durban 23/11/1912; baptised St Thomas’ Church, Durban 19/1/1913; School Prefect & Michaelhouse 1st XI captain 1931; an articled clerk with Halsey & George accountants before enlistment; member of Greyville Cricket Club & Nomads Hockey Club; served with the 1st Battalion RDLI in North Africa; killed in action, at Gazala, Libya. Knightsbridge War Cemetery, Acroma, Libya.
