(Son of Benigna (nee Martiarena) Anderson, of Parmachenee Lodge, Isipingo Beach, Natal; father George Skelton Anderson deceased.) 2316 Lieutenant Royal Durban Light Infantry Born Durban 14/9/1916; studying to work in a museum before enlistment; served with the 1st Battalion RDLI in North Africa; killed in action, on a special coordinated patrol with artillery support, near El Alamein, Egypt. (Grave lost / body never found.) Alamein Memorial to the Missing, El Alamein War Cemetery, Egypt.
