William Cornelis was the grandson of 1820 settler Samuel Liversage and the 4th child of William m. Johanna Susanna UYS. He was born near Pietermaritzburg (Albert falls?) 2/12/1860. He died at Spioenkop 23/1/1900. He epitomized the pioneering spirit that made the South African nation.
