John, citing SA History Online (sahistory.org.za/article/cape-coloured-corps-and-first-world-war), identified Cape Corps as a combat/recruiting identity with numbered battalions beneath it (like King's Royal Rifle Corps or the Machine Gun Corps), not an administrative branch grouping multiple distinct regiments -- unlike e.g. South African Infantry Corps, which genuinely groups different named regiments (Transvaal Scottish, Durban Light Infantry, etc).

Dedications 1
Derek Evans was on Pilot's Course 1/81. We went from SAAF College straight to Langebaanweg for groud training. I resigned August 1981 and Derek went on to Dunnottar where he was training on Harvards. Apparently he lost control of his aircraft while on a solo flight. He was a great friend and would have made a good officer too. Dave Mason, Thailand.
