Notes

ref. "Rhodesian Roll of Honour" by P. Geldenhuys (Roll compiled by Dr. J. R. T. Wood). Amendments from "Rhodesian Combined Forces Roll of Honour 1966-1981", by Adrian Haggett and Gerry van Tonder.

Citation

His BCR citation states that it was for gallantry and leadership in action. Despite a faulty radio in a contact, he still managed to direct his troops, accounting for 6 CTs himself. He showed complete disregard for his own safety under conditions of extreme danger
