Died in Aircraft Accident, in Trojan #R4326, at Mushimbi Pools. Aircraft crashed on takeoff with pilot, casevac and medic all being killed. He was the casevac, having been injured in a landmine explosion

Awarded while Sgt. 31 March 1978 - "He displayed initiative and bravery of the highest order. He personally accounted for 14 CT kills and 8 captures, including high ranking commanders". He was also recommended for Rhodesia's highest award, the Grand Cross of Valour.
