Col (rt) Graham du Toit Last Post 07 Mar 2024: 80318199BG Corporal Deon van Niekerk, Northern Transvaal Command Provost Unit, reported missing in Clubview, Pretoria while on official traffic control duty; a gravel truck jack-knifed on the Old Johannesburg Road; body found two days later when the gravel was removed, age 20.
25 Sep 2026, Unit2 service-branch sweep: the stored Secondary Unit "Army" was CLEARED as a duplicate. It was not a sub-unit, it was a service-branch word repeating what the Branch column already says. Secondary Unit is for sub-units -- a company, a squadron, a commando -- and this record's branch of service is unchanged at "Army".

Dedications 1
Deon, Die lewenslustigste en mees ondeundste mens wat ek ooit geken het. Soliede, soliede vriend. Vandag kan ek net vra of jou dood hierdie land werd was? Die generaals en politici weet nie eers van jou nie. Jou vriende onthou jou egter steeds. Aan die generaals, slaap lekker!!!
