Research notes
26 Aug 2026: Unit leftover "14 Field Regiment" → 2 Armoured Car Regiment (SAWGP Regiment, no Unit).
14 Sep 2026: Col (rt) Graham du Toit, Last Post: Trooper C.J. Smit, 2 Armoured Car Regiment, killed when his armoured car overturned ~40km from Thaba Nchu on the Dewetsdorp Rd during a field exercise, age 18. Matches this record exactly (SN 6321863, cause, age); Graham's "40km" vs this record's "20 miles" (~32km) is a rounding difference, not a real conflict. Not on Bushwar Books' same-day post.
