Research notes

SN CORRECTION 25 Aug 2026 (year-prefix method): ServiceNo 97007470MG cleared -- per the documented SA force-number convention (data/SA_SERVICE_NUMBER_NOTES.md), the prefix '97' implies registration circa 1997 (usually age 16), i.e. birth circa 1981. This record's own Age/DateDeath implies birth circa 1960, a mismatch; PersonNumber 32197 (Neethling, implied birth circa 1981) fits instead. Original value: "97007470MG".
Mike Sandham's research log ("List 1"), imported 16 Sep 2026, credited to The South Africa War Graves Project unless his entry says otherwise: gives Age 34 against this record's 22. This record has no date of birth, so there is nothing to adjudicate with. Flagged, not changed.
