Col (rt) Graham du Toit Last Post 20 Aug 2026: 78533320BT Lance Corporal Brian Albert Hoy, Regiment Noord Transvaal, accidentally killed after being crushed in the commander’s turret when his Ratel overturned approximately 40 km south of Ruacana, age 26. Regiment already 1st Northern Transvaal Regiment. Cleared polluted Unit 41 Squadron (SAAF) from this Ratel casualty. Cause already matched.

Brian Hoy was killed in SWA when the Ratel in which he was travelling (standing in the commanders turret) rolled during an excercise. He was with the 1st Regiment Northern Transvaal (1RNT) He was a gentle and quiet guy who died at the hands of an inexperienced driver - What a waste of a life RIP Unknown Unknown
