Research notes
13 Sep 2026: Possible identification with the Wayside Cross, Pinetown's "Tatum C.E., 2/Lt, 15th London Regiment", killed in action 13-11-1917 -- both the initials (C.E. vs this record's G.E.) and the date (13-11-1917 vs 1917-11-30) conflict, but the specific unit match (1st/15th Bn., London Regiment / Prince of Wales' Own Civil Service Rifles) is otherwise exact and no other Tatum fits. Not resolved.
