Research notes
13 Sep 2026: Named on the Wayside Cross, Pinetown, as "Samuel E.A." -- the Pinetown Museum's own 1992 research found no record for this name; this Merchant Navy loss (S.S. Lulworth Hill) matches the initials exactly and is the only Samuel, E.A. on the ROH.
13 Sep 2026: Ship (S.S. Lulworth Hill) moved from Unit to Regiment; Merchant Navy moved from Regiment to Corps, per John's decision. Applied database-wide to 296 Merchant Navy records sharing this pattern.
