He served with the 2nd Regiment in France; WIA (arm, back – serious) in tan unsuccessful attack on German lines in front of the Butte de Warlencourt, Somme 12/10/1916; died of wounds in hospital in Roue… Buried/commemorated: St Sever Cemetery, Rouen, Seine Maritime, France.
