(DPHS 1925 - 1930; Durban High School 1931 – 1934.) 93028 Private Royal Durban Light Infantry Born Durban 21/3/1916; employed in the mining industry in the Transvaal; served with the 1st Battalion RDLI in North Africa; killed in action at Gazala, Libya. (Body never recovered / grave lost.) Alamein Memorial to the Missing, El Alamein War Cemetery, Egypt.
