Son of Alexander William and Ethel Munro, of Slaai Kraal, Grahamstown, Cape Province. Educated at St. Andrew's College, Grahamstown. Born 13/5/1896 At St Andrew's College 1911-1913. 1914 fought in Midland Horse in G.S.W.A., and in 1916 in Motor Cyclist Corps in G.E.A. where he died of wounds received in action.
