(Estcourt High School.) 589477 V Private Royal Durban Light Infantry Born Zastron, OFS 10/3/1914; baptised Rouxville, OFS 12/9/1915; a sausage maker before enlistment; served with the 1st Battalion RDLI in Italy; killed in action, by enemy shelling, about 4 miles south of Bagnoregio, Italy Bolsena War Cemetery, Italy.
