13 Sep 2026: Northern Rhodesia Great War Memorial, Victoria Falls ("Cenotaph") -- Confirms exactly: Nurse M.G.A. Beaufort, V.A.D. ("Kaloolah" is her own name, not a place, per this record's already-stored FirstName). Named on the memorial's Great War 1914-1918 plaque.
13 Sep 2026: Regiment changed from South African Military Nursing Service to South African Voluntary Aid Detachment, and Force (UDF) cleared, per John's decision -- the Northern Rhodesia Great War Memorial plaque names her V.A.D., not SAMNS, and every other VAD nurse on this ROH has Force blank (VADs were volunteer/Red Cross auxiliaries, not part of the formal Defence Force). The Mibisa (Western Cape) source's "South African Military Nursing Service" is left noted above as a conflicting claim, not deleted.

I was the lucky lady to be in Emils life at the time of his death. He did everything with such passion but was such a thoughtful, respectful person. From the moment I met him I knew this is the person that will forever hold my heart and even today after 27 years I find myself looking on the internet for a photo or any information about him, S.S.S You are truly my soul mate and it feels like a piece of me is missing. I was only 17 but what we had for such a short time could fill a life-time of love. I miss you so much each day my Baby. Kpl Tamsen was a Opps medic of 101 BN's elite Romeo Mike Teams when he died early 1987 in a contact in Angola. He was a very nice young man who served the Unit with dedication.
