I would like to say after a very long search I have found the man who I am very pleased to call my Great, Great Grandfather Walter William Deeks. Who left to fight the war in South Africa. He left England leaving his wife Lucy Jane Deeks aged 29. He had 4 daughters the youngest only a few days old when he died. Dorothy was 6, Lillian was 3, Kathleen was 2 and the youngest Florence was only 10 days in registered records. I will search for more details relating to the information I have gathered from this website.
