Son of William Trimble Hogsett and Kate Hogsett, of Dordrecht, Cape Province, South Africa. His brother also died on service. Enlisted 18/9/14; Chatham Bn. MEF 6/2/15-13/7/15 GSW right hip, rejoined 1st RM Bn. 17/9/15-5/11/15 Gastritis, rejoined 1st RM Bn. 8/1/16 2/6/16 to Military Field Police (Assistant Provost Marshal), rejoined 1st RM Bn. 17/11/16-18/2/17.

John Frank Cockaday. Joined the Inniskilling Dragoon Guards Nov.1890 aged 16.His fathers regiment. He then join the SAC. Died in a tragic Riding accident at Lewkop Gymkanna 14/9/1901. He was buried at Military Cemetary Moddertontein Dynamite Factory at Longmeadow. Grave moved in 1963 to Braafontain Jo'burg.
