8123Lieutenant Peter Rawstorne Johnstone Gibson, H.M. Submarine Regent (Royal Navy), aged 22. Killed in action. Struck a mine north of Barletta, Puglia, Italy, after a raid on an Italian Convoy. All hands were killed. The sinking was discovered after the submarine didn't return to base in Beirut, Lebanon, by May 1, 1943.

3965Apprentice Royston Arthur Claydon-Fink, M.V. Gold Shell (London) (Merchant Navy), aged 18. Struck a mine off Antwerp and was blown up. It was mid-day and with the exception of a few members of the crew, all were having lunch. Those who were on deck and were thrown into the sea, were rescued, but Royston Arthur Claydon-Fink was not one of the survivors, and his death was presumed due to drowning.

When his unit took hill Monte Caprara he and his unit were to flank left and set up the Vickers gun waiting for the German counter attack. While setting up the Vickers, Edgar was shot by a German Sniper straight through the chest.
