Natal Native Rebellion Medal

Struck in silver, 36mm diameter. Obverse: uncrowned head of King Edward VII facing right. Reverse: Britannia and Natalia holding a sword, standing on a heap of native weapons, landscape background with Zulu figures and huts, sunrise. Ribbon 32mm wide, crimson with 7mm black edges.

Qualifying criteria: Service in Natal 11 February - 3 August 1906 during the Bambatha Rebellion; minimum 20 days' field service for the medal, 50+ days for the 1906 clasp. 9,979 medals awarded (8,045 with clasp, 1,934 without).
