"05 Dec 1994: 91100743PK Scout Silvester Hamberera from 2 Special Service Battalion, South African Intelligence Corps Committed suicide, hung himself from a tree in 2 SSB bird park. He was 31."
21 Sep 2026: CauseDeath trimmed to the circumstance of death alone. On import it had been set to Mike Sandham's entire entry, repeating the date, service number, rank, name and unit that this record already holds in its own fields. His wording is quoted verbatim in the citation above, so nothing is lost. Defect found when Graham du Toit's Last Post of 21 Sep 2026 independently confirmed one of these records, Sikirila 49773.
