K.M. Jordan, Royal Durban Light Infantry WWII Roll of Honour ("working document", Aug 2026 draft; email to John & Bobby, 4 Sep 2026): PEEL, Jack Forest. Of 135 Botanical Gardens Road, Durban. Born 1916; a refrigerator mechanic before enlistment; served with the 2nd Battalion RDLI and with the Technical Service Corps; a military pensioner after discharge; died of pulmonary tuberculosis in hospital in Durban. On the Durban Cenotaph WWII Memorial, but not on the Royal Durban Light Infantry WWII Memorial itself, nor on CWGC or SAWGP -- Jordan notes he died after their cut-off date for WWII war-death recognition. Not previously on the ROH.
