United Nations Memorial Cemetery in Korea (UNMCK)

The only United Nations cemetery in the world, and the resting place of UN Command casualties of the Korean War (1950-1953). 2,300 graves; the Wall of Remembrance (completed 2006) additionally lists 40,896 UN Command dead and missing by nation. South Africa's Korean War dead were almost entirely 2 Squadron SAAF ("Flying Cheetahs") pilots and ground crew flying F-51 Mustangs and later F-86 Sabres on attachment to the USAF 18th Fighter-Bomber Wing; South Africa has 11 burials at UNMCK and its missing are listed on Panel 13 of the Wall of Remembrance.
