Bechuanaland Rifles enrollment/discharge ledger (WO127-style nominal roll scan on angloboerwar.com's Bechuanaland Rifle Volunteers unit page, 'Nominal roll images' tab). This corps was stationed about Mafeking at the outbreak of war (a company 81 strong under Captain Cowan formed part of the garrison) and later served with Methuen in the Western Transvaal. Recorded in the roll as "Died of disease 4.6.00" (Corps No. 126), during the Siege of Mafeking period.
