Jones , Leon Loubser (L L)

Mike Sandham reference, 25 Aug 2026, sourced to pantser.cmvo.org.za's "Lys van Weermaglede wat aan diens gesterf het" (SADF deaths 1962-2001, excl. 1993). Source columns as transcribed -- Rang: "CO", Eenheid (unit, truncated in source): "28 SQUAD", Plek/Oorsaak/Detail/next-of-kin (run together by the source's column layout): "ROOIKRANS POWER MILITARY AIRCRAFT AEROPLANE ACCIDENT A. L. JONES FATHER". Additional wrapped text: "STATION ACCIDENT". Unit left blank rather than inserting the truncated PDF unit text as a guess -- "28 SQUAD" wasn't confidently mappable to an existing Unit record.
8 Sep 2026: Likely duplicate of PN 30894 (Jones, Leon Loubser) -- same Name/Initials, ServiceNo P48888 vs P/48888, DateDeath 1962-09-08 matches, and this record's own DateBirth (1942-04-24) matches 30894's EstBirthYear (1942). PN 30894 is the far more complete record (Cemetery, GraveRef, Age, Regiment, AddInfo). Flagged for merge review, not merged. Mike Sandham omissions mail 8 Sep 2026.
