The note written yesterday said the named killer, Rifleman James Matome Hlungwane, is NOT on this roll and that the only Hlungwane here was a police sergeant who died in 1996. That was true of the roll as it then stood. Graham's Last Post for 25 Sep 2026 supplies Hlungwane's own death -- 88745682PE, 116 Battalion, found dead with a self-inflicted bullet wound to the head on 25 September 1994, the day after this killing, aged 22.
